Natural garlic contains about 0.2% essential oil, in which more than one hundred of volatile sulfur compounds are identified:
- allyl propyl disulfide(about 60%),
- diallyl disulfide (23-39%),
- diallyl propyl trisulfide(13-19%),
- allyl methyl disulfide, and etc.,
Diallyl propyl trisulfide has higher anti-bacteria effect and broaden anti-bacteria spectrum in these sulfide compounds.
